Although not as Hollywood glamour as previous outfits featured in our Iconic Dresses series, this wrap dress by Diane von Furstenberg still deserves an honourable mention. Released in 1973, the humble wrap dress has gone onto sell millions and is still sold today. Marketed under the catch phrase "Feel like a woman. Wear a dress", von Furstenberg changed the face of fashion in the early 70s and was named fashion's most influential designer since Coco Chanel.
