Now, as the girls have retreated from Hollywood, only their most loyal fans remain. Unfortunately, this means sales of their branded products have fallen.
Walmart has taken note, pulling the Olsen's makeup line from shelves. The mass retailer is putting something dramatically different in its place: GeoGirl, a line of natural makeup and skincare, in recyclable packaging, aimed at tweens.
Apparently, pre-teens are obsessed with being green—who knew? Apparently, Walmart did. The brand hopes these vocal kids will get their parents to shift some of the $23 billion tween beauty market in their direction. [via]
